A Washington, DC beginning
Born and raised in the DC area, our founder established Steve's Bus Service in 1998 with a commitment to dependable transportation and personal service.
Our story
Built on experience. Driven by community.
Steve's Bus Service, operated by S&F Transportation LLC, has deep roots in Washington, DC and a long history of helping schools and groups get where they need to go.
Founder-led transportation
A DC business story nearly three decades in the making
What began in 1998 grew through hands-on work, mentorship, and long-standing relationships with schools, charter schools, athletic programs, and organizations across the DC metropolitan community.
Whether it's a museum visit, a school field trip, an athletic event, or a group charter, the details matter. Our team reviews each transportation request individually.

Guided by experienced operators
The late Clark G. Stewart of Stewart Enterprises and the late Paul Delwiler were important mentors. Their guidance helped our founder learn the transportation business and build a lasting operation.
Serving schools and communities
Over the years, the company has transported students, charter school groups, sports organizations, basketball teams, and community groups for field trips, games, local excursions, and other planned travel.
Still personally involved
Our founder continues to operate the business today, with school buses, motorcoaches, shuttles, and executive transportation available for eligible trips.
